Emergency services were called to the scene near Bankton at around 1.30pm on Tuesday.
The crash involved one vehicle.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a one-car crash on the A1 near Bankton.
"Lanes in both directions are closed.”
