Balgreen Road: Crash near rail line caused road closure and train delays in Edinburgh

A vehicle has crashed into a bridge on Balgreen Road in Edinburgh, closing the road and delayed trains travelling from the Capital.

Police Scotland have confirmed that they were called to the incident around 7.25pm on Monday.

The road continues to be closed although there doesn’t appear to be any serious injuries.

ScotRail have tweeted saying: "Train services between Edinburgh and Helensburgh Central via Airdrie may be delayed or revised.”

They have since released an update saying that the service is back to normal.
