Broken down vehicle causes early morning delays on the M8

A broken down vehicle caused early morning delays on the M8 on the approach to Hermiston Gait.

Lane three on the eastbound approach to Hermiston Gait A720 was blocked due to a broken down vehicle this morning.

The breakdown was first reported at around 6.30am and Traffic Scotland reported that traffic was building on approach as a result.

At around 8.30am they reported that the broken down vehicle had been removed and that all lanes were running again.

Drivers were advised to take care and expect minor delays.
