Comiston Road reopens after accident involving car and cyclist

An Edinburgh road has reopened after a collision this afternoon involving a motorist and a cyclist.

Comiston Road was closed at Buckstone shortly after 3.20pm today after the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a collision between a car and cyclist on Comiston Road, near Pentland Terrace, Edinburgh, around 3.25pm on Wednesday, 9 December."The road was closed for a short time and has now re-opened.

"The 19-year-old male cyclist is not believed to have suffered life threatening injuries."
