Delays due to breakdown on Forth Road Bridge

A breakdown is causing significant delays on the Forth Road Bridge with long delays heading southbound.

A vehicle broke down during the rush hour commute blocking one lane on the road.

The bridge remains open despite the breakdown with queues building up due to the restriction.

Recovery of the vehicle is underway however significant delays are expected due to the backlog of traffic on the A90.

Drivers have been told to plan ahead their journey and avoid the route if possible.
