Drivers on A1 in East Lothian urged to drive with caution due to high winds

Motorists on the A1 in East Lothian are being urged to drive carefully this evening due to high winds.

In a recent twitter post, Traffic Scotland wrote: "The A1 at East Linton is currently experiencing high winds. Drivers are advised to drive with caution in the area."

In December last year, footage emerged of a lorry crushing a police car when it blew over in high winds on the A1 between Haddington and Dubar - after the officer arrived at the scene to deal with another toppled HGV.
