Edinburgh City Bypass: Drivers warned of queues after breakdown closes eastbound lanes

A lorry has broken down on the A720 this morning.

Drivers are being warned about a break down on the City Bypass this morning which could cause delays.

A lorry has broken down on the eastbound carriageway of the A720 towards Millerhill with all lanes restricted, said Traffic Scotland.

The lorry is partially blocking the inside lane just after the Sheriffhall Roundabout.

The incident happened at around 6.45am.

Traffic Scotland said: “Lane one (of two) of the (Edinburgh City Bypass) A720 Eastbound at the Sheriffhall Roundabout is blocked by a broken down HGV. Road users should approach the area with care.”
