Edinburgh City Bypass: Man left in hospital after three-vehicle pile up near Lothianburn
and live on Freeview channel 276
Emergency services were called to the scene, close to the westbound Lothianburn junction at around 4:10pm.
Police Scotland confirmed that the man, who has not been named, was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by paramedics.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the force said last night: "We received a report of a three vehicle collision at the A720 Edinburgh City bypass Lothianburn junction around 4.10pm on Thursday, 10 December.
"Officers are at the scene. The A720 westbound at Lothianburn is currently closed."
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment on the condition of the man.
The incident caused length tailbacks on the westbound carriageway at the height of rush hour.

Hide AdOne eyewitness who was caught in the gridlock, described traffic as “at a standstill,” and said drivers got “out of cars” and were “standing on the road”.
Later, cars were diverted off the A720 via the earlier off-slips to prevent further queuing.
Emergency services remained at the scene of the incident until the early hours of the morning.
Police Scotland Control Rooms tweeted: "Emergency services are on scene and we thank you in advance for your patience whilst we deal with this incident.”

Hide AdAt 2am on Friday, December 11, Traffic Scotland confirmed that the crash had finally been cleared and that the bypass was open to traffic once more.
It follows a similar incident at the same junction of the A720 on Wednesday, November 18, when the eastbound carriageway was shut for seven hours following a crash.
