Edinburgh City Bypass: Road reopened after serious three-vehicle crash between Sheriffhall and Gilmerton

A major Capital road was closed after a serious crash involving three vehicles.

The Edinburgh City Bypass was closed westbound between Sheriffhall and Gilmerton for hours after the crash.

Emergency services were in attendance.

Edinburgh Travel warned drivers to avoid as there were long queues although both lanes are now open.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Emergencies services attended at A720 Gilmerton junction after reports of a crash involving three vehicles at 10.55am on Wednesday, March 31.

It does not appear that there are any injuries.
