Edinburgh drivers warned of accident at Broughton Street roundabout

An accident has happened on the roundabout by East London Street and Broughton Street this morning.

Drivers in Edinburgh this morning are being warned of an accident which has occurred and is affecting traffic on Broughton Street.

Reports of an accident on the roundabout at Broughton Street and East London Street came in shortly after 9am on Tuesday morning and police and ambulance are currently in attendance.

Traffic from Rodney Street towards York Place was round the roundabout the other way.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received reports at around 8:55am of a cyclist who had come off their bike on the roundabout on Broughton Street.

"The cyclist was taken away in an ambulance and police were called to assist with traffic management in the area."
