Edinburgh Trams service disruption across the Capital due to power fault on a city centre tram
As a result of a technical issue on one of Edinburgh’s trams, services are only operating between certain parts of the Capital.
Edinburgh Trams has said that tram services are only operating between Airport and West End/Shandwick Place.
The tram operator hopes that they will be able to resolve the issue relating to a power transfer on one of their City Centre trams by this evening with full services expected to return then.
Ticket acceptance is currently in place with Lothian Buses.
The tram operator has apologised for any inconveniences caused as a result of the disruption.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh Trams said: “We are experiencing a technical problem with one of our trams in relation to power transfer which has resulted in disruption to our service.
“Our Engineers are working quickly to resolve the issue which will enable us to resume full route services this evening.
