Edinburgh weather: North Bridge closure rescheduled after heavy rain forecast

Plans to close Edinburgh’s North Bridge for refurbishment works tonight have been changed, after forecasters predicted heavy rain would cause complications.

North Bridge will be closed as the refurbishment continues.

The original plan would have seen the city centre road shut for two nights for carriageway repairs, between High Street and Argos as part of the ongoing bridge refurbishment.

However, tonight’s works, which would have closed the road to southbound traffic between 6.30pm and 6am tomorrow, have been cancelled.

In the amended schedule, Thursday, March 11, will still see closure in both directions from 6.30pm - 6am.
