"Trains running through these stations will be delayed.”

They added that “some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.”

Anybody travelling this morning should take these delays into account.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police commented: “Officers were called to Linlithgow station shortly after 7am following concern for the welfare of a man.

"Officers attended and spoke with the man, who checked out to be okay and continued his journey.

Emergency incident between Linlithgow and Falkirk High.

"The report was made in good faith.”
