Motorists warned of 90-minute delays after second accident on M8
Five-car crash but no injuries
MOTORISTS were warned they could face delays of up to 90 minutes on the M8 this morning after an accident on the eastbound carriageway near junction 2 at Claylands.
The crash, initially reported as a breakdown, involved five cars at around 6.30am. Police said there were no injuries.
Traffic quickly started tailing back and even after the accident was cleared, Traffic Scotland warned of 90-minute queues between junction 2 and junction 4 at Whitburn.
The Claylands accident came after an earlier eastbound crash involving a truck and a car near Harthill also caused delays for commuters. It happened around 5.50am. Again, police said there were no injuries.
