A thank you message to bus drivers has appeared outside a Lothian depot in Edinburgh.

‘Thank you bus drivers’, reads the coloured chalk message, decorated with hearts and the rainbow symbol used to spread hope amid coronavirus lockdown.

“I hope your drivers have seen this Lothian buses, it’s outside your depot in Portobello,” Alison Hendry wrote on Twitter.

“They are doing a great job under these difficult circumstances ensuring that key workers get to where they need to be – thank you.”

Lothian Buses is currently running a reduced service aimed at allowing key workers to get to work.
