Emergency services have been called to two separate incidents involving a person being struck by a train on Thursday morning, one near Bathgate and one near Aberdeen.

ScotRail has announced that the first incident took place between Bathgate and Blackridge in West Lothian earlier this morning.

There are delays on the line with trains from Helensburgh to Edinburgh terminating at Airdrie, as well as starting back from there.

Services between Edinburgh to Helensburgh will operate between Edinburgh and Bathgate only.

The second reported incident occurred between Aberdeen and Stonehaven.

ScotRail has stated that there is now ticket acceptance on City Link coaches between Dundee and Aberdeen, and for Stagecoach between Dundee and Arbroath.
