Two charged over Ferry Road Drive car crash

POLICE have charged two men following a collision involving two cars on Ferry Road Drive.

The collision took place shortly before 5.30pm on February 3 and involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot 206.

A 53-year-old man was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with non-life threatening injuries.

A 19-year-old has been charged with seven road traffic offences, theft of a motor vehicle and theft by housebreaking.

A 17-year-old has been charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of theft by housebreaking.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Edinburgh Divisional Road Policing Unit and officers in the North worked together to conduct extensive enquiries in order to trace the suspects.

“As part of Operation RAC, officers from various departments across the Capital continue to tackle housebreaking and vehicle theft.
