A Lothian Bus collided with a building in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh this morning.

Video footage shows emergency services dealing with the aftermath of the incident, which occurred around 7am on South East Circus Place.

Three fire engines remain on the scene, with an ambulance and at least three police vehicles.

The bus was serving route number 24.

Some ten firefighters are attempting to resolve the situation.

There have been no reports of injuries.

There are traffic diversions in place from Howe Street, Circus Place and Kerr Street.

Lothian bus services 24, 29 and 42 have been affected.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police were called to South East Circus Place in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh around 6.55am on Monday, 27 July, following a crash involving a double-decker bus.

“The road is currently closed at the Howe Street junction.

“Officers remain on scene.”

Lothian Buses has been approached for comment.
