Easter Weekend weather: Edinburgh forecast hour-by-hour, here's what the weather will look like in the Capital from frosty starts to glimmers of sun

As some early birds rise on Good Friday today, they can expect a cold embrace with temperatures at 1° at 7am after a freezing night with this rising to 2° by 8am and then 3° by 9am.
However, the sun is predicted to be spreading its rays across the Capital with clear skies between 7am and 9am.

Hide AdThe sun will have its hat on by 9am, with sunny intervals peaking out from the cloud until 11am.
At 10am, we can expect temperatures at 4° and then rising to 6° by 11am.
Sadly, weather forecasters have predicted the sun will bid farewell with a ‘cloudy’ sky expected at midday with temperatures at 7°.
The temperature will rise to 8° at 1pm and then the weather will become ‘overcast’ at 2pm with temperatures at 9° turning to ‘cloudy’ by 3pm with the temperature staying at 9°.

Hide AdThe sun will pop back in sunny intervals at 4pm with a 10°. This ‘sunny breaks’ forecast will last 7pm with temperatures dipping to 9° by 6pm.
As we descend into the night, it is to be ‘partly cloudy’ at 8pm with a temperature of 8°.
But then a ‘clear night’ is predicted from 9pm onwards with temperatures dipping to 3° during the night.
Saturday
As we awake on Saturday, April 3, we can expect a chilly start with a 2° temperature at 7am, however, forecasters have said this will feel more like 1°.

Hide AdYet, we can expect a ‘sunny day’ with the sun out in full swing until 7pm and highs of 11°in Edinburgh
By 10am, temperatures will be 6° with this climbing to 9° at 1pm then remaining at 11° till 7pm, according to the Met Office.
A clear night is predicted from 10pm with temperatures dropping to 7° and cloud returning to the dark Edinburgh skies by 4am with lowest temperatures of 4° throughout the night.
Sunday
On Easter Sunday, April 4, as many of us tuck into our chocolate eggs, it will be clouds aplenty with no sun in sight, according to the weather experts.

Hide AdThe Met Office has predicted temperatures will reach a maximum of 8°, however, this will feel more like 4°.
Then by 7pm, well, at least the ducks will be happy, as we can expect a 50% chance of light rain sprinkled across Edinburgh.
By 10pm, the skies are expected to turn cloudy with no rain predicted but temperatures dropping to 2° and feeling like -4°.
Monday
As Edinburgh sets in for a bitterly cold night from Sunday to Monday, winter is coming (slightly), as a light snow shower is expected at 1am on Monday morning with temperatures at 0°.
