Edinburgh hour-by-hour weather: A day of rain and wind for Capital - and this is when sleet could hit

Edinburgh is set for a wet and windy day on Monday as experts at the Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for the west coast of Scotland.
The Capital and the Lothians are currently under no such weather warning on Monday or Tuesday, but the west coast has been issued the 'be aware' warning for high winds.

Hide AdHowever, there is the possibility of sleet falling in the region, with Met Office forecasters predicting a shower in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A blustery start to the day will be joined by light rain throughout the morning, which will continue for the majority of the day.

Officials at the Met Office have warned that sleet could fall in the early hours of Tuesday morning, from Midnight to 2am, but a sunnier day is likely to follow.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said of today's weather forecast: "Sunny intervals and showers, these falling as snow on hills especially this afternoon. Eastern Borders and the Solway coast seeing the best of the drier and brighter conditions.
"Feeling rather cold in the fresh to strong westerly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C."
