Edinburgh and the Lothians are set for a day of two halves as expert forecasters bring a yellow weather warning into place on Saturday.
The morning will be relatively bright, with long periods of sunshine and clear skies. The afternoon, though, is a somewhat different story.

Hide AdHeavy rain will begin to fall early on Saturday afternoon it won't stop until late on Sunday afternoon, according to the experts.
As mid-day on Saturday, a yellow weather warning comes into place for the majority of Scotland, warning of high winds that could cause disruption to transport networks and power supplies across the country.
That weather warning remains in place all day sunday, until it switches to warning for wind and snow on Monday morning.

- Some coastal routes and sea fronts may be affected by spray and/or large waves
