Edinburgh weather: Capital set to enjoy high temperatures on Tuesday

Edinburgh is set for a warm afternoon as temperatures are expected to rise into the high teens later today.
Weather experts have forecast highs of 18C and 19C for today, Tuesday, 8 September from about 2pm.

Hide AdThe clouds are forecast to clear and the city is due to have bright sunshine for most of the afternoon.


The warm temperatures are expected to last through the day until about 11pm.
Cooler weather is due to return tomorrow with temperatures dropping to the mid-teens, while highs of 19C are forecast for the weekend.
A Met Office spokesman said for the Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian and Borders weather forecast: “Some morning sunshine in the southwest otherwise clouding over by afternoon with some patchy drizzle. The east will be dry, warm with some brightness, but clouding over from the west in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 21C.”
