Edinburgh weather: This is what the weather will be on the day beer gardens reopen

Monday sees beer gardens across Scotland open for the first time since mid-March and, after a weekend of thunderstorms, eager patrons will be happy to see the weather improving.

The Met Office shows that the weather in Edinburgh is going to be warm for most of the day with little chance of rain.

12 pm: 14C with 10% chance of rain

A spokesperson for the Met Office said that Monday would be: “mostly dry with sunny intervals but still a chance of a light shower at first in the southwest.

“Feeling warmer in afternoon sunshine as winds become lighter. Maximum temperature 18C.”

It is only the outdoor areas that will be open on Monday, and all other pubs will be allowed to reopen on July 15 with strict physical distancing in place.

Police Scotland have said that they will be increasing patrols in the area.

They have asked the public to take personal responsibility and do the right thing by sticking to the guidelines.

Friday saw pubs in Northern Ireland open for the first time, and Saturday saw the same in England, though not in Wales or Scotland.
