Edinburgh weather: This is what time experts predict heavy snow in the Capital today

A yellow weather warning remains in place as Edinburgh expects another flurry of heavy snow on Thursday.

The Met Office predicts that light snow will start to fall at around 8am.

It will turn into heavy snow fall between 9am and 10am.

They warn that it will feel like -4C outside, though temperature will be sitting around 0C.

The heavy snow will turn to sleet at roughly 11am and it will continue this way for most of the day, with a small dry spell around 3pm.

The evening will see high temperatures of 4C, though it will never feel higher than 1C.

A statement from the Met Office says: “Ice likely to form across parts of Scotland, north Wales and north England leading to some travel disruption along with snow for some parts."

Anybody planning on travelling should take care on the roads, and pedestrians should also watch on as footpaths may be slippy.
