West Lothian police make fresh following Livingston assault

Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers assaulted a 19-year-old man in Livingston leaving him with a serious injury that required hospital treatment.

The incident happened in Leven Walk around 6.15 pm on Thursday September 8 when the suspects struck the man with a weapon.

The first suspect is described as being around 5 ft 2 inches tall with black hair. He was wearing a light blue jacket and denim jeans.

The second suspect is around 5 ft 7 inches tall with brown hair and was wearing a dark blue jacket and denim jeans.

Both individuals are thought to be in their mid teens.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who has information that can assist them with their inquiries to please come forward.

Detective Sergeant David McMillan said: “This was a violent, unprovoked attack that left a young man needing hospital treatment.

“I’m particularly keen to trace any witnesses who saw the incident or the suspects in the area around the time of the assault.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
