Workshop is a right blast

THE workings of one of the Earth’s most destructive forces is to be revealed at the National Mining Museum Scotland’s volcano workshop.

Part of the museum’s geology festival, the event will see children learn all about volcanos and even create their own miniature model, before filling it with magic solution and watching it bubble and erupt.

The workshop, which is suitable for children aged five and over, will be held on September 4 from 11.30am. Only ten places are available, so to secure a spot call 0131-663 7519 or call in at the Newtongrange museum.
