MP’s plea for Gaza

EDINBURGH South MP Ian Murray is calling on the UK Government to do more to ensure aid is allowed into Gaza, after he saw three Scottish trucks of medical supplies turned away at the border.

Some 500 Palestinians have died in Gaza in the past three years because of a lack of medication.

Mr Murray was in the region on a five-day visit organised by the Council for European Palestinian Relations. Now he has urged Foreign Secretary William Hague to investigate how much UK aid is being turned away at the Gaza border.
