Wrestler pins Fringe spot

A FORMER pro wrestler and bestselling author has announced that he will be performing at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Mick Foley, the man behind a number of bizarre personas on the professional wrestling circuit, said that he will star in four shows in August.

Foley, who became known for his staged but bloody battles in the 1990s, achieved mainstream success when his autobiography topped the New York Times’ bestseller list for several weeks in 1999.

The former WWF champion is now semi-retired from wrestling and has begun a stand-up comedy career. He announced the shows on his Twitter feed.
