Young helped to find work

NEARLY 250 young adults have been handed training or employment opportunities under an NHS Lothian scheme.

The health board had planned to create 190 placements between December last year and November for 16 to 24-year-olds “in need of a positive destination”.

But the health board has revealed that it exceeded its target by 53.

Alan Boyter, director of human resources and organisational development, said the success represented a “key achievement”.
