Youths urged to make their voices heard

YOUNGSTERS across the Lothians have been urged to have their say on topical issues.

The Scottish Youth Parliament wants under-18s to take part in a survey which covers issues from housing to employment opportunities.

The appeal is part of its bid to boost youth participation in politics across the Lothians.

A spokesman said: “The Scottish Government is planning a number of changes to issues that affect local communities and we want to make sure young people’s voices are heard on the issues that will have an impact on young lives.

“To make sure we can tell the government loud and clear what young people think of their proposed changes, we’ve put together a short survey.

“What goes on in communities has a big impact on young people’s lives.”
