For people who are particularly house proud, there’s an alternative to the advent calendars we’ve come to expect this year - a cleaning advent calendar.
Yes, you read that correctly. Forget chocolate and beauty treats, this year you can countdown to Christmas by doing the laundry and other household chores.
That’s because YASS Clean has unveiled what it claims is the first-ever cleaning Advent Calendar, (and as far as we know it is), which is packed with 25 laundry and home-cleaning surprises for fans of the TikTok viral brand.
Priced at £75, YASS says its limited-edition YASSmas Advent Calendar brings together a mix of bestselling YASS Clean favourites, viral must-haves and brand-new festive products created exclusively for the festive season.
That means instead of opening a tiny chocolate every morning, you could be discovering a new cleaning product to try as you work your way towards Christmas Day.
Among the biggest festive highlights are two brand-new YASS Clean scents; Winter Berry and Christmas Cookie, both designed to bring a distinctly Christmassy fragrance to your home and laundry.

Meanwhile, the first advent calendars are available to buy from Boots, and there’s a reward for early shoppers as selected beauty calendars are now up to half price online. The selection includes the NIVEA Women's Advent Calendar, which has been reduced from £60 to £30.
There’s also the Baylis & Harding Jojoba Ladies Advent which also has 50% off and has been reduced from £45 to £22.50. The the Yankee Candle Advent Wreath Gift Set has a smaller discount, but a saving none the less, and is currently £21, down from £27.
Plus, Champneys is offering a spa evening worth at least £59 is tucked behind the last door of the Champneys’ 24 Days of Spa Glow Advent Calendar, which you can now buy on sale at Boots for just £34.50.
Meanwhile, the YASSmas Advent Calendar can be pre-ordered via the official YASS Clean website, with calendars expected to start dispatching from November.
