Three dental practices across Edinburgh are expanding their teams of dental surgeons to help meet growing demand for dental care in the city.
The practices offer a wide range of treatments, from routine dentistry and preventative care to implants and orthodontics, with treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients.
With purpose-built facilities across Edinburgh, the practices are welcoming NHS and private patients, families, adults and students who may be new to the city and looking for a local dentist.

Adam Wright, owner and principal dentist, said the expansion was aimed at helping people who have struggled to access NHS dental services, while still offering its private practice alongside it.
“A lot of people do not have access to NHS dentists, and that is where we are delighted to be able to step in with our team of excellent surgeons,” he said.
“We have found that some people have not seen a dentist for over 10 years, but that need not be the case. As well as adults and families, we are also welcoming students who may be new to the city.”

Experienced Edinburgh dental team
The practices are staffed by dentists registered with the General Dental Council, with team members having undertaken additional postgraduate training following their initial dental qualifications.
Their continued professional development means the dental teams remain up to date with modern techniques and procedures, while patients receive support throughout every stage of their treatment.
From routine check-ups and preventative dentistry to more complex procedures, the practices aim to provide comprehensive dental care in modern surroundings.

High-quality dental laboratories
The practices also work with a network of established dental laboratories with experience in producing a range of dental restorations.
Close relationships with laboratory technicians help ensure treatments such as crowns and dentures are produced to a high standard, with comfort, appearance and durability taken into consideration.
Supporting nervous dental patients
For some people, visiting the dentist is a routine part of maintaining good oral health. For others, making an appointment can be a significant source of anxiety.
Dental phobia is common and can have a number of causes. Previous unpleasant experiences, the sounds and smells associated with a dental practice, or concerns about discomfort can all contribute to dental anxiety.
The Edinburgh dental teams recognise that nervousness is nothing to be embarrassed about and take steps to make patients feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Their dentists are trained to provide gentle, reassuring care and to support patients throughout their treatment.
The practices have also welcomed patients who have avoided visiting the dentist for many years, helping them take the first steps towards better oral health.
Adam said: “You will never be afraid to visit us – that’s a promise.”
