Angling: Chance to fish for Scotland

EVER thought about representing your country but did not know how to go about it?

Well now you have the opportunity to pit your skills against other anglers from all over Scotland, as Sana, the governing body for angling, is looking for competent anglers to fish for Scotland in Wales later this year.

This is the second year of its conception and the Scots are the current home international holders and gold medalists. Heats will be staggered throughout the country before a grand final takes place in October. The top seven or eight rods will then be selected to represent Scotland in October. This is a national bank competition and will be run on a catch and release basis. For entry details, contact the fisheries involved as competition will be intense. Best to contact fisheries ASAP to guarantee your place. Anglers can enter as many times as they choose.
