Basketball: City men face UCL in semis

Edinburgh UNIVERSITY men were set to face University College London in the semi-finals of the British Universities Basketball Trophy at the earlier time of 3pm at the Pleasance Sports Centre today, the tip-off having been brought forward to help the visitors fit in their flight times.

UCL, who put out Cambridge away in the quarter-finals, are expected to give unbeaten Edinburgh their hardest test of the season, but the Capital students were convincing winners over Worcester 2nds in their recent home quarter-final.

Edinburgh women, also unbeaten this season, 
follow the men with another semi-final of the BUCS Trophy against Bradford at 5pm.

The winners face the winners of Nottingham v Southampton while the men’s winners meet the winners of Nottingham and Sheffield Hallam, both games to be played at a neutral venue.
