Bounce help Forrest secure starts on Challenge Tour

Grant Forrest has literally had a 'Bounce' put in his step through joining an Edinburgh-based management company.

First and foremost, the Craigielaw player reckons he has made a smart career decision by joining European Tour trio Stephen Gallacher, Craig Lee and Andrew McArthur on the client list of Bounce Sport.

“Not only are Bounce based close to where I live in North Berwick, but Iain Stoddart, the company’s founding partner, and I also both went to Stewart’s-Melville, so we’ve got something in common there,” he said.

“They have a great relationship with the Challenge Tour and the European Tour through the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge and I am really looking forward to working with them.”

Equally exciting for Forrest about the link-up is that Bounce Sport have helped secure Challenge Tour starts in upcoming events in Turkey and Italy for both him and Walker Cup team-mate Ewen Ferguson from Bearsden.

“It is fantastic to be getting these opportunities,” said Forrest, the world No.25 and Scotland’s top-ranked amateur.

“Not only can you get some experience in professional events but it also now counts for something moving forward.

“If you do really well in the starts you get, you can secure something tangible for the following year.”
