Carrick Knowe aim to come out on top in finals day in Hamilton

Carrick Knowe head into the final day's play of the Dechmont Forklift Trucks-sponsored Inter County Top Ten at Eddlewood, Hamilton, tomorrow intent on bringing the coveted title back to the Capital for the first time since Slateford's triumph in 1997.

Seven of the Carrick Knowe line-up are current members of the Edinburgh & Leith team contesting The Hamilton Trophy and they are joined by former Scotland captain and Commonwealth Games internationalist Colin Mitchell. National fours champion Graham Pringle and the vastly-experienced Alan Poole complete the team.

Richard Tough comes back into the picture for the final-day assault and heads up the Carrick Knowe attack as the spearhead figure in the Singles for the semi-final battle against Renfrewshire champions Wellington Park.

Mitchell skips Kevin Tennant in the Pairs while Poole, Pringle and James Hogg are the Triple. Darren Hush skips Stephen Pringle, John Priestley and Paul O’Donnell in the Fours.

The other semi-final features Northern of Bon Accord against Campbeltown of Argyll & Bute. Semi finals are at 10am with the final at 2pm.
