The 30-year-old Prestonpans puncher has thrilled in a quite remarkable year that he and the boxing fraternity will treasure for many years to come.
In May he was crowned the undisputed super lightweight world champion with victory over the previously undefeated, Jose Ramirez, in Las Vegas.
In doing so, Taylor is the first Briton to become world champion in the four-belt era and takes his place at the sport's top table.
He makes the first defence as undisputed world champion in Glasgow, in February, against undefeated Englishman Jack Catterall and, should all go to plan, 2022 could even eclipse the 12 months just gone by. Photo: David Becker
