Drysdale to continue his travels after closing 71 in Dubai

“I wasn’t planning to play in the Tshwane Open but have added it to the schedule,” he said of this week’s event in Pretoria. “The main reason for that is I’m eighth reserve at the moment for Malaysia the following week. The week after that it’s the Perth International and I’m already looking forward to that, having tied fourth in it in 2014 to hang on to my card.” Drysdale finished joint-54th in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, won by Englishman Danny Willett. “Today was probably the worst I’ve played all week,” added the former Dunbar assistant pro after a closing 71 to finish three-under.
Reflecting on the last three weeks in the Middle East, he added: “I played alright in Abu Dhabi and should have made the cut in Qatar.”
