Edinburgh enjoy great day at Sale

Edinburgh RUGBY got their pre-season off to a superb start when they won 28-22 at Sale Sharks last night.

The game may have been billed as a friendly but on the pitch it was anything but as Michael Bradley’s Capital side raced into a 20-7 half-time lead and second-half shenanigans saw Edinburgh No. 6 Sean Cox, a summer signing and former Sharks player, and Lee Taylor sin-binned.

A try from Dutchman Tim Visser put the Scots ahead, before Tom Brown danced through the Sale defence to extend the lead. Charlie Amesbury scored a piledriver of a try for Sharks to set up a nervous finish at 28-22 but Edinburgh held on for the win.
