Edinburgh University into field hockey Scottish Cup semi-final

Edinburgh University have blasted their way into the Scottish Cup field hockey semi-finals with a come-from-behind win at Grove Menzieshill.

The students were 2-0 down on Tayside on Sunday but they rallied with three goals in five sensational minutes to lead 3-2 before Grove hit back to level at the break.

The students refused to let it slip and hit back with two late goals, the fifth finding its way into the net with five minutes left.

Calum White netted a double with Jack Jamieson, David Mawhinney and Davyn Keuter also scoring singles in the confidence-boosting win.

They join Grange who received a bye into the last four as Dundee Wanderers said they could not raise a team.
