Bonnyrigg continue foray into transfer market with signing of Renton

Bonnyrigg ROSE boss Max Christie has swooped to sign Musselburgh Athletic striker Kris Renton.

Renton was a stand-out for Musselburgh last season and Christie is delighted to have secured his signature.

He said: “Kris is a big, strong striker who will score goals for us while Andy Carlin, who we’ve signed from Bathgate (last week), has shown he’s a top keeper throughout the seasons.”

In the Premier League, Newtongrange have signalled their intentions to be in the promotion mix come next season with the signing of Musselburgh duo, winger Paul Tansey, and goalkeeper Keiron Renton.

Tansey said: “I felt I needed something fresh and a move to Newtongrange feels right. Alan Miller has brought Keiron and me to add to the squad and we want the club to be successful and get back into the Super League.”

Broxburn, newly-promoted to the Super League, have added keeper Chic Clark from Forth Wanderers.

Edinburgh United, meanwhile, have appointed former Hearts youth player Gary Sutherland as manager.
