Just because the window has closed it doesn’t mean our clubs have to stop signing players until January.
While the pickings are typically a little slim, a few gems have been unearthed by Scottish clubs outwith the window as they shop in the free agent market. Recent notable examples include Youssouf Mulumbu at Kilmarnock and Arnaud Djoum to Hearts.
In these unprecedented times, the free-agent pool is deeper than ever with clubs having to cut their cloth due to the financial uncertainty, which has left several players twisting in the wind.
