Hearts have reportedly rejected a bid from an English Championship side for John Souttar.

The centre-back has arguably been the club’s best player this season.

He is in the final year of his contract with Hearts keen to tie him down to a longer deal with informal talks having taken place.

Celtic make defender move

Celtic have approached Spurs about a possible loan move for Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The 23-year-old US international is a centre-back and has played five times for the North London side.

He has had six different loan spells during his career.

Sky Sports reports a deal at this stage is unlikely.
