County keep remarkable run going at Tannadice
The Irn-Bru First Division champions have made an impressive start to life in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, conceding just once in their opening six matches, and that was during a 1-1 draw with title holders Celtic.

County survived a muted penalty appeal after 56 minutes when Ross Tokely challenged Ryan Dow, who later chipped an effort on to the top of the bar.
Adams added: “I thought we dealt well with the pressure Dundee United put us under towards the end of the game. They had a lot of corners and crosses into the box. That was always going to be the case.

County’s next match comes on September 22 against St Johnstone, by which time 400 days will have elapsed since their last league loss.
United boss Peter Houston bemoaned his side’s lack of cutting edge but paid tribute to Adams’ side for their run.

“There’s a lot of positives to take. What we need to work on now is where we’re going to get our goals from.”
Houston had few complaints about the possible penalty and was pleased with the impact of his young players.

“Up until the final third we were excellent. We missed the presence of Daly and Gary Mackay-Steven.”
Houston is uncertain on a time scale for the return of Daly, who underwent a scan earlier this week. “Jon has had dodgy knees over the last number of years,” he said.
