Edinburgh City’s top goalscorer Danny Handling has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The 26-year-old, who bagged 14 goals last season, has committed to the Ainslie Park side for a further two years, describing the move as a “no-brainer”

Handling joined City in 2018 and has become one of the club’s key forwards.

The former Hibs youngster said: “I’m delighted to be staying at City for next two years.

“I had a few offers to go elsewhere, but City felt like it was right and the best place for me.

“I’m most excited to be apart of the project here at the club to get us to the next level. It was no-brainier.”

Earlier this week, City tied down goalkeeper Calum Antell for the 2020/21 campaign as manager James McDonaugh builds his squad for football resuming after the coronavirus crisis.
