Don Cowie in Fifa 16 Team of the Week with Messi and Bale

Hearts midfielder Don Cowie has been included in the EA Sports Fifa 16 team of the week after his star showing at the weekend.

The veteran netted twice in a 5-1 victory over Inverness and was hailed afterwards for his terrific performance, with manager Robbie Neilson admitting he substituted the player only so he could receive a standing ovation from the Tynecastle crowd.

The display earned him a place alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Gareth Bale in the Fifa 16 select squad, though the Hearts hero had to make do with a place among the seven-man subs bench.

EA Sports, the makers of the much-loved video game, release a ‘Ultimate Team’ on social media every week, choosing the star performers from around the top leagues included in the game.
