Edinburgh City on the road for first game as 2020/21 League Two fixtures are revealed

Edinburgh City will begin the 2020/21 Scottish League Two season away to Brechin City.

The fixtures for Scottish football’s fourth tier were revealed this afternoon, with the campaign kicking off on Saturday October 17.

James McDonaugh’s side then host Cowdenbeath at Ainslie Park on October 24, with Elgin City making the trip to the Capital from Moray on October 31.

Ochilview is the destination for City on November 7 with Stenhousemuir the opponents, before Stranraer are the visitors on November 21.

Last season’s League Two runners-up then travel to Annan on November 28, before welcoming Albion Rovers to Pilton on December 5.

City then travel to face Queen’s Park at Hampden on Deceber 12 before completing the first round of fixtures with a home clash against Stirling Albion on December 19.

At least four new faces could take to the field for the Capital outfit this season, with goalkeeper Kelby Mason arriving from Hearts; centre back Lee Hamilton joining from Stranraer; midfielder Danny Jardine making the move from Stirling Albion and striker Ouzy See returning to the club after most recently playing for Abion Rovers.

Midfield duo Jordan Sinclair and Chris Kane have moved onto Berwick Rangers and Stenhousemuir respectively, while striker Scott Shepherd has joined Forfar Athletic and defender Calum Hall has signed for Gala Fairydean Rovers.
