Gary Naysmith’s side were due to host Albion Rovers, however they will now travel to Coatbridge instead after league officials granted the request for reversing the match venue.

The Cityzens are unable to use Ainslie Park on the opening day of the league season – July 31 – and are in the process of moving back to their old home at Meadowbank. The relocation is due by October and City have earmarked Friday night fixtures in a bid to attract more supporters to games next season.

However the unavailability of Ainslie Park in July led to both clubs’ request and instead City will host the Wee Rovers in November, and meaning they are away for their first two league games of the campaign.

Spartans are also away at Stirling Uni in the Lowland League on the same day.
