The player’s lawyer requested the postponement, saying that his client would be working in France. The new date has been set for June.

Feruz, 20, faces charges of driving while banned, driving without insurance and perverting the court of justice when he was pulled over by police in September last year.

It is alleged Feruz, who is contracted to Chelsea, gave the police a fake name, claiming that he was called Saeed Cabadalla.

He was on loan at Hibs from Chelsea at the time of the incident and has since returned down south.

During his brief stay at Easter Road, Feruz made only six appearances, none of them in the starting line-up.
