Gary Naysmith wins Manager of the Month prize after leading Edinburgh City to flawless March

Edinburgh City boss Gary Naysmith paid tribute to his players after scooping the Glen’s League Two Manager of the Month award for March.

The former East Fife and Queen of the South manager omly took the reins at Ainslie Park on March 9 but masterminded victories against Elgin City at Borough Briggs, Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill, and Cowdenbeath at Central Park while also taking maximum points from a home game against Stenhousemuir.

City scored ten goals and conceded four and now sit two points off second in League Two

Naysmith said: “This award is 100 per cent down to the players and is a great reflection on how well they have looked after themselves during lockdown and how well they have applied themselves in the games since we returned.

"I thank each and every one of them along with all my backroom staff and also the board of directors who have been nothing but helpful and supportive since I joined the club.

"Thank you everyone.”
